$225,000 in resort upgrades
in spring 2009
The Bethel Inn Resort has completed a number
of spring projects including additional golf course drainage
and expansion of the resort’s automatic irrigation system to
holes #1, 9, 10 and 18.
“The mild spring weather allowed us to complete these
projects ahead of schedule”, said Allen Connors, Managing
Partner at The Bethel Inn Resort. “These along with the
other recent improvements we’ve made will substantially
improve the golf course and guest experience at our 200 acre
resort.”
In
addition to the course improvements the resort also
completed a major capital project with the re-roofing on the
Fairway Townhouse condominiums.
Mark Mallory named Head Golf
Professional
The Bethel Inn Resort has announced the
promotion of Mark Mallory to Head Golf Professional and
director of the resort’s
Guaranteed
Performanceä
School of Golf.
As the Head Golf Professional, Mark’s
responsibilities will include directing the golf shop
operations, The Guaranteed Performanceä
School of Golf, golf tournaments and member events at the
resort.
“As our assistant pro, Mark helped run our golf school and
tournaments,” said Allen Connors, Managing Partner at The
Bethel Inn Resort. “Mark’s people skills and golf school
knowledge will greatly help improve our summer programs and
golf amenities at the resort.
“I’m excited to build upon
the reputation at the Inn" said Mark, "From golf and golf
school programs to fine dining, the Inn offers an unsurpassed
experience for guests and members”
New Executive Chef and
Kitchen Crew, with 85 years of culinary experience!
The Bethel Inn Resort has announced the
appointment of Robert Bates as the resort’s Executive Chef
and Eddie Ojeda and Carl Parise as Head Chefs at The
Millbrook Tavern & Grille.
It total, the new team at The Bethel Inn Resort has over 85
years of experience in the food service industry. Chef
Bates started at The Bethel Inn Resort in 1988, responsible
for various kitchen duties and for the last 11 years at Sous
Chef.
“We’re extremely excited to have Robert’s experience at The
Bethel Inn Resort,” said Allen Connors, Managing Partner of
The Bethel Inn. “Chef is a great success story, his
experience behind the line and managing the staff will help
grow the Inn’s dining reputation and overall experience that
guests have grown to expect.”

Beginning in the 1920’s, Syracuse China’s
hand painted faceplates have symbolized the history and
country elegance of our resort. Since the 1980’s, this
faithful reproduction, pattern number 7 of the original 12
“Nature Studies of Poppies”, has graced the dinner tables
of our Main and South Dining rooms. We have now replaced
this version with pattern number four and a limited number
of these faceplates are available for purchase by our
guests.
